Twenty-five years after being voted “Most Artistic” while in her senior year at Batavia High School, Maggie Capettini is back on its campus with a solo exhibit, “A Garden of Paintings”. On display now through December 5th, you can view her work at the Batavia Fine Arts Centre, 1250 W. Wilson, in Batavia, IL.

Raised in Batavia and residing now in Downers Grove, Maggie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art and a Master of Arts in teaching. She has won awards for her paintings, and her works are held in museum/gallery collections in Batavia, Warrenville, and West Chicago, Illinois as well as in private collections in the U.S and internationally.

She paints en plein air and from life whenever possible, including in her own gardens where her motto is: “Plant what I like to paint.”

The exhibit was curated by Kathleen Tieri Ton who is also the graphics teacher at Batavia High School.

Additionally, Maggie's paintings can also be found at Water Street Studio’s 13th Anniversary show through October 7, 2022 and in “Vicinity 2022” at the Norris Cultural Arts Center in St. Charles, IL through October 29th.
