"Art 2020 -- It's What We Create" will be on display at the Kavanagh Gallery at Fine Line Creative Arts Center in St. Charles, 37W570 Bolcum Road between January 10 and February 8.   • GREATER GENEVA ART GUILD (GGAG)

First meeting of the year is Wednesday, January, 15 from 7-9 PM at the Geneva Public Library. President Lynette Dubovik invites members and guests to join in for a night of conversation, catching up, and inspiration. Be sure to bring a piece of your artwork to share with the group -- finished or not.

  • CAMELBACK GALLERY (ONLINE)

If you're not yet familiar with this online gallery, they offer a chance to give your artwork a broader audience and increased exposure with their many juried competitions. Some are free to enter, while others require a nominal entrance fee. Current open competitions for entry are "Patterns and Texture" -- deadline 1/12/2020 and "Artist Choice IV" open to all subject matter with a deadline of February 9, 2020.   • ELMHURST COLLEGE DISPLAYS HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS' ARTWORK

From January 11-26, Elmhurst College celebrates young artsts and public school art programs from across the Chicago area when it hosts the 21st Annual High School Exhibitions. Exhibit can be found in the Founders Lounge in the Frick Center (190 Prospect Avenue in Elmhurst) and includes paintings, prints, sculptures, videos, computer art and other media. Awards and a $2,000 renewable scholarship will be presented to students from each participating high school.
