GENEVA ART GUILD FOLDS INTO GENEVA FOUNDATION FOR THE ARTS

Updated: Nov 4, 2020

July 22, 2020…The president of the Geneva Art Guild, Lynette Dubovik, sent an email to its members today announcing that the group has officially cut ties with the City of Geneva and is now under the auspices of the Geneva Foundation for the Arts.

Dubovik writes:

“We are working hard to get an art center in our town. Being out from under the city will allow us less restrictions when we have our events and we hope to have more events in the future.

Currently, the Geneva Foundation for the Arts has engaged a fundraising consultant, Ter Molen Watkins & Brandt (TW&B), to explore our options in developing a community arts center. As we begin our work with TW&B, Amy Funk and Heidi Waltner-Pepper, consultants with TW&B, will be interviewing key individuals within our community who may be able to provide important background and knowledge to help guide us on our mission.”

Area artists (and I assume art lovers also) are invited to share their insights about this process with the consultants or the foundation board by replying to Lynette Dubovik at: ggagartists@gmail.com

Your response will help them take the next steps into making an arts center in Geneva a reality. Dubovik also noted that local artist and Geneva Art Guild member, Doug Holzrichter, is president of the Geneva Foundation for the Arts. ###
