Anawim Arts Announces Upcoming Online Student Art Show CALL FOR ARTISTS with April 1 Deadline

Anawim Arts is a collaborative ministry sponsored by the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary which grew out of the work of the Loretto Sisters in Wheaton, IL.

Spring Art Show for Young People Ages 13-18

ECO-ART: Earth Wisdom Submission Deadline April 1, 2022 Art Show will be on the website beginning April 18 The universe unfolds in God, who fills it completely. Hence, there is a mystical meaning to be found in a leaf, in a mountain trail, in a dewdrop, in a poor person’s face. The ideal is not only to pass from the exterior to the interior to discover the action of God in the soul, but also to discover God in all things. --Pope Francis At this pivotal time, how can we use art to deepen our connection to nature, stir our collective conscience and call ourselves to live more lightly on the earth? We want to hear from young people who will be deeply impacted by our care or lack of care for the earth.

We are looking for submissions of visual art from artists ages 13 – 18 that speak to this theme. The exhibit will be entirely online. We welcome international participation. Up to 20 pieces of art will be selected for the exhibition. The art for the exhibit will be displayed on the Anawim Arts website beginning in mid-April.

Invitation to Teachers and Sponsors: Please work with your students to submit up to three pieces in photo files such as a jpeg format. Include a statement about the relationship of the piece(s) to the show’s theme as well as a short bio.

Deadline for submission is April 1, 2022. Submit to anawimarts@gmail.com Photo by Pixabay on Pexels.com Learn more Learn more Fine Line Creative Arts Center | www.fineline.org
