23rd Annual Kaneland Community Fine Arts Festival Seeks Artists; No Booth Charge or Sales Commission

Fine Art in colored pencil by Phil Schorn, professional botanical artist.

EVENT: KANELAND COMMUNITY ARTS FESTIVAL

SUNDAY, APRIL 16, 2023

11 AM TO 5 pm AT KANELAND HIGH SCHOOL

47W326 KESLINGER ROAD IN MAPLE PARK, IL

The Kaneland Arts Initiative supports the Kaneland school district and surrounding communities through a wide variety of cultural arts programming that includes the annual Kaneland Community Fine Arts Festival. This event, in the past, has attracted 3,000 patrons and featured more than 500 pieces of student art from within the school district.

Previously the event could pay 15 to 20 professional artists to actively demonstrate their art while also connecting with the community and the Kaneland school district. However, the generous grant that allowed this payment will not be available this year.

As a result, the Kaneland Arts Initiative organizers are asking area professional artists to still consider participating. There will be no booth charge to attend the event and artists may keep 100% of any sales made. Additionally, they will be able to eat there for free.
